Winter Indoor Training (WIT) takes place on the ergs at the Dammrich Rowing Center. Workouts are intended for those with some training on the erg, whether or not you have experience rowing on the water.

In general, WIT is designed to increase strength and endurance and to improve overall fitness. It’s a great way to continue the camaraderie of the team through the long winter months to maintain motivation to keep showing up.

WIT runs from January through March, in preparation for on-water practices beginning in the spring. It is offered in an un-coached format with prepared training plans provided. The success of WIT depends on the accountability of members consistently showing up and encouraging teammates to do the same. WIT is not required but the program does help properly prepare rowers for the outdoor season.
